Reading: Fairy Tales/Folktales/Fables We will continue to recount stories from diverse cultures to determine the central message. Also, we will notice the point of view of the characters. Writing Choose an activity from January Writing calendar. . Math: Money We will practice counting coins (penny, nickel, dime, and quarter) and dollar bills. We will solve word problems involving money. Math IXL Practice addition and subtraction facts. Play money games on class blog. Writing: Opinion Writing As we continue opinion writing, we will focus on giving examples of reasons to support our opinions. S.S. Review MLK study guide. We will test on Tuesday. Social Studies: Civil Rights We will wrap our study of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and begin Jackie Robinson. a Spelling Follow the directions from the January Spellers’ Choice Activities sheet.
