Laboratory exercises are a vital portion in any science course and they provide a hands-on experience and allows students to observe topics in a more in-depth manner We will thoroughly discuss laboratory safety practices and expectations – a quiz will be administered on laboratory safety and will be included on test 1 A contract has been given to you regarding laboratory procedures and must be signed by a parent/guardian Students will be expected to complete pre-laboratory exercises (33 Points) as well as perform procedures (33 Points) along with post-laboratory assignments (34 points) If a student misses the lab experiment, there will be no make-ups and the student will have to write a full 5-7 page research paper (this will make up for the procedure) -- for post-lab assignment, see me! Lab Reports: If you are caught plagiarizing; automatic zero -no exceptions!

Welcome to Biology! I count it an abundant blessing to be your teacher and I am extremely ecstatic and honored to have you in my class this year, as we explore the wonderful world of biology! I look forward to getting to know each and every single one of you and building a supportive classroom atmosphere that builds trust, understanding, and appreciation of each of our unique qualities! We are about to embark on a thought-provoking journey that is interesting and ideally unforgettable. I know that with hard-work, inspiration, dedication, motivation, an “I CAN DO THIS!” attitude, and a willingness to learn, EVERYONE (including YOU!) will ace this class! WELCOME TO BIOLOGY! LET’S HAVE AN AWESOME YEAR!
