2 Magistra Raines Late Work Absentee Policy RETAKES Latin Club
I, II, & III Magistra Raines Late Work Absentee Policy My expectation is that ALL assignments be completed and turned in on time. Students will lose 10% per day that an assignment is turned in late, up to a 50%. Late work will not be accepted after the week is up. All late work must be submitted with a late slip, providing assignment name and date turned in. * YES, WE DID SOMETHING IMPORTANT WHILE YOU WERE ABSENT. Make-up work is the student’s responsibility. Any worksheets that were given will be in the appropriate slot in the stacking file in the back of the room. When you miss an assessment, a zero is entered into the gradebook. Once you have completed that assessment, the grade will be changed. You have as many days as you were absent to complete assignments. Homework is due the day you return. Students that are absent on the day of a quiz must make it up during ILT. Exceptions to the due dates of make-up work may be granted in the event of a long-term absence. RETAKES Class expectations Latin Club Latin is not an easy class. You will have to work hard. It is a lot of reading, and it is a challenge. But it is the most rewarding language to learn, and the most fascinating history to study. I expect everyone to come to class ready to work, to learn, and to enjoy it. Latin Club is open to all students who enjoy history and mythology! Bring your friends to a Latin Club movie or game day! If a student fails a major assessment (test), student may retake after mandatory tutoring with Ms. Raines, receiving the highest grade of an 85%. Google translate Cheating Translation Clause: A dictionary and a translator are different. The use of any translation device on the internet or computer software is considered cheating. If your work is a product of a translation device, you will receive a zero. This grade is unable to be retaken. * The teacher will notify the administration and contact parents if cheating / plagiarism is suspected. The student will be given a zero for that particular test or assignment. This includes the person who allowed someone to copy their work! I, (student name) ________________________________________, have read and understand the rules and expectations for class. I acknowledge that it is my responsibility to contact my teacher if I have any questions or concerns. I know that this syllabus is available to me on the class webpage at any time. ** is the easiest form of communication; it's fast and enables us to answer at our convenience, both teacher and parent.  I am asking all parents to supply their address, whether it is personal or a work address.  (Please return SIGNED & ATTACHED to syllabus—Please do not cut off.) Parent ________________________________ Student ____________________________________ Parent Phone & _______________________________________________________________________ Sign…
