11 Being Prepared for Class:
Movement in Class All students must come to class prepared with all their materials. Students can’t go to their lockers whenever they please so make sure you have all needed materials. For this class, you will need your 3-ring binder, paper, a blue or black pen or pencil and your homework log. No other color pen is acceptable and you will not receive credit for assignments written in colors other than what is permitted. You must be in your seat unless you have been given permission to move around the room. Once I start talking, the class is beginning and you should be in your seat. When we are in classroom discussion or lesson mode, you must raise your hand, wait for me to recognize you, and then ask permission to move around. If you need to sharpen your pencil during a class time, then you need permission first. You are a Thinker!

12 You are a Thinker! MAKE UP / LATE WORK ABSENT
If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to get any missing assignments/notes and make up any tests or quizzes that you missed. Late Work: Late work will not be accepted after the chapter test is taken. If you do turn in an assignment late, you are still able to redo the assignment until you master the concept. All late work must be turned into the “Late Work” tray. Please turn late work into the tray marked “Late,” even if it is absent work You are a Thinker!

13 Success is the only option in this class!
CLASS DISMISSAL LEAVING THE ROOM The clock, or bell does not dismiss the class. You will be dismissed after all materials have been collected, the room is clean and the class is quiet. You will not be given a pass to the next class so move quickly and quietly when you are told to get ready to leave the class. When it is time, I will tell you to line up and you will be dismissed. Students will not be allowed to leave the room except for an emergency. Class time is not the time to call parents, go to you lockers or go to the bathroom. If you must leave the room, I will write you a pass. When the student is out of the room, they must go quickly and quietly to their destination and return to the room as soon as possible. Success is the only option in this class!
