Let’s Take A Look At Our Classroom Rules

Follow Directions The First Time They Are Given Do what your teacher asks you to do. Listen to other teachers/adults. Listen to directions and follow them. Don’t waste time. Time is important in our class.

Keep hands, feet and all other objects to yourself. Always treat others the way you want to be treated. No, hitting, pinching, or kicking allow. Respect others property never bother or take things that do not belong to you.

Use appropriate language and quiet voices. Always use 6 inch voices. Never say bad words at school. Never try to talk over anyone

Keep eyes on the teacher when she is talking Never play with things at your desk. When the teacher is talking she is trying to instruct you or tell you something very important. Remember when the teacher is talking you’re NOT!

Complete daily tasks in a timely manner. When you are given an assignment work until it is complete. If your teacher ask you to complete an assignment it is important. Remember that all work must be complete to take part in P.E. and other fun activities. Never be a student who waste time.

Have needed material at school each day. Come to school prepared. Always make sure you have your Reading Book, Your Level Book and your P.I.R.A.T.E. Notebook. Remember you are responsible for your backpack and materials. If you forget to bring your materials you will have to move your pin.

Change task quickly and quietly. This is not a time to visit and play. The quicker we move from task to task the more thing we will be able to do and the more things we will be able to learn.

Walk quietly and properly in the hallways. We always line up head behind a head. This means you will always be looking at the head in front of you. Others are still having class while we are in hall. Be Respectful and stay quiet so they can still have class.

Restroom time is limited Restroom time is limited. Children should use this time in an appropriate way Do not abuse your restroom privileges. No one should ever play in the restroom. There are germs everywhere.

What Happens If I Break a Rule?

Each Day Everyone Begins on “All Hands On Deck”

If You Choose To Break a Rule You Will Begin to Move Down the Chart. This is a warning. You still have the opportunity to change your behavior and move Back up to “All Hands on Deck”

If you choose not to change your behavior and you break another rule you will move to orange and you will miss 15 minutes from an activity to reflect on your behavior.

When you move to yellow you will fill out a Personal Improvement Plan and miss a activity.

If you move your pin to red, “Walk The Plank” you will have to fill our personal Improvement Plan, miss an activity, a note will be sent home and you could have to visit the Principal’s Office

During the day you have the opportunity to move up the chart as well.

You will be asked to move up when you are caught helping or being kind to others in the classroom. Only those on their best behavior will move up the chart Yo Ho Matey I’m on Top
