2. Mahoning Elementary School Rules - SWEBS These are the rules we will follow this year to learn, play, and have fun.

3. Most of the Classroom Rules are:  Respect and be kind to others.  Listen carefully to directions, and obey them.  Do not touch others.  Work quietly.  Work and play safely.  Raise your hand before you ask a question.  Listen quietly while others are speaking.  Do not bring toys or gum to class.

4. Building Rules Walk in the building. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. Respect people and property by using kind words and actions. Follow staff directions.

5. Hall Rules  Obey all our school rules.  Respect our school’s property.  Be quiet in lines, hallways, and restrooms.  Walk only, no running, no marching.  Stay in line, and stay on the right side of the hall.

6. Lunchtime Rules  Stand in line and wait your turn to be served.  Don’t play with or throw your food.  Clean your table before you leave.  Walk only, no running.  Don’t take food out of the cafeteria.

7. Playground Rules Remember to play on the playground equipment, you must wear sneakers. Also girls wearing skirts and dresses, please be extra careful. Remember to wait your turn. No pushing or shoving.

8. Our Promises  We will get along with each other and with our teachers.  We will be friendly to everyone.  We will be kind to each other: No putdowns, making fun of, or singling out anyone.  We will take turns and share.  We will respect others’ property.

9. Our Agreement As teachers and staff of Mahoning, we will try to do our best to teach you good rules of conduct and manners. We will set a good example for you to follow. All of us will give you respect and courtesy, which we expect in return.
