These are the rules we will follow this year to learn, play and have fun!

2. Classroom Rules
There are rules that I have for the class. They are for everyone and it is important that we all understand them and follow them the best we can. I will show you where the rules are posted in our classroom and then we can talk about them.

3. Follow teacher’s directions
This is a very important rule. When someone else is talking, it is polite to listen to what they are saying. They may be saying something that could help you understand. When I am talking, I need everyone to be listening so that you can follow directions and not miss something important. Raise your hand if you need to talk, but do not talk when I am talking or get out of your seat.

4. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
Hitting, kicking, pushing or bothering another person will not be allowed. Everyone has their personal space and it must be respected.

5. Respect adults, students and property.
At Nebbie Williams, we treat others how we want to be treated. It is important to show each other kindness and use your manners. We have many wonderful materials here at school. You should use them with care so that other kids can use them in the future.

6. Be prepared for class.
Being prepared means that you are ready to learn. It is important to bring all of the things you need to school. You will bring your folder and yellow reader every day. If you are missing any supplies, tell me and I will help you. YOU have to be ready too, so get good sleep and eat breakfast!

7. CONSEQUENCES
We have a card change chart in our classroom where I can monitor how many times the rules are broken. If rules are continually broken, I will have to sign your folder. You may have to lose some recess or special privileges. If those things do not work, I will need to call your parents or send you to speak with the principal.

8. REWARDS
Rewards will be earned for good behavior and following the rules. You may get stickers, hugs, happy notes and special privileges. Work hard to be the BEST you can be!

9. LET’S WORK TOGETHER!
I know that if we work together and respect one another, this will make our classroom the best place it can be. We are going to have a GREAT year!!!
