11 Voices When you are working with your group, you should use your “quiet voice”. You should talk loud enough for your own group to hear you, but the other groups should not be able to hear what you are saying. When you are giving a presentation in front of the class, you should speak loud enough for everyone in the class to hear you.

Walk quickly and silently to the designated area.

13 Announcements Over the Intercom
When an announcement is made over the intercom, everyone should be quiet and listen to the announcement. It is rude to talk while announcements are on. It’s also difficult to hear important information if someone is talking.

You should not talk in the hallway, because you might disturb the other classes. You should walk in a single file line facing forward. Keep your hands to yourself. Keep all body parts away from the walls. Stay to the right side of the wall.

15 Keeping the Classroom Clean
Make sure to throw away trash in the trashcan. There is no need to get up to throw away trash. You can also discard trash as you are exiting the room. If you see trash or a pencil on the floor, please pick it up. Even though it is not your trash, please be kind and throw it away.

16 Backpacks Keep backpacks on the hooks in the back of the classroom. Take out everything you will need for the day.

17 Restroom Policy We will go to the restroom in the morning after breakfast. You may also go during recess time. You will have another designated time to go to the restroom in the afternoon. You should not ask to go to the restroom during class time unless it is an emergency.

18 If I Step Out of the Classroom
If I step out of the classroom, no one is to get out of their desks, unless instructed to do so by another teacher. You are to remain quiet and continue to work on your assignment.

19 Visitors If a visitor enters the room, continue to work on the assigned task. Please do not talk when a visitor enters the room. It is rude to talk while a visitor is talking to me. If the visitor is talking to you, quietly listen to what he or she has to say.
