Close The Sale Want to close more sales? Take the following approach when speaking to a potential customer… Hi, my name is _____ and I’m a Scout with Group ___. I’m selling popcorn so I can ______. You can help me reach my goal by trying some of my popcorn! Will you please help me? More effective than asking, “Want to buy some popcorn?” don’t you think?

Communication It’s important to follow up after your kickoff and throughout the sale with important sale information. Use , social media, and meetings to remind families about: Sales goal for each Scout Key sale dates Weekly updates at meetings. Scouts and parents about key dates as reminders. Selling Methods

Take Order Selling Youth use an order form to go door-to-door or sell to family and friends. Establish your dates – take order sales typically start immediately after kickoff. Create a cut off date for your group, allowing you enough time to process the orders. Determine sales territory. Don’t infringe on another groups, “Territory” Create a “Blitz Day” to have youth sell as a group activity Have parent(s) take an order form to work Be creative !!

Show & Sell New Pilot Program Now Ventures and Rovers can do a, “Show & Sell” with left over product. Starting December 1 st, a Company or Crew can take popcorn from the Adventure Center, “Show & Sell”. When the day is done bring back what you don’t sell! Pay for only what you sold, keep the profit !! Prior arrangements need to made where you will be selling.
