Collection Due dates February 23rd – March 13th Grade 8 Registration : March 5th at Roosevelt March 9th at Toll Last day to turn in all forms will be March 13th

Registration Your Registration Packet Includes:  Grade level registration form  Grad Status Report (unofficial transcript)  Instructions for completing registration are on Hoover’s website-HooverHS.org  Remedial Summer Registration form (if applicable)  Enrichment Summer School Forms will be available in the Counseling Office after spring break.

Registration Why do I have a White Form? Each grade is color-coded but students not on track for graduation received white forms.  “Not a Senior” < 130 credits at this point in time  “Not a Junior” < 70 credits  “Not a Sophomore” < 20 credits  “At risk of non-promotion” <70 credits grades 7/8

Registration How to Complete Your Registration Form  Fill in ALL rows, check pre-requisites Look for Course Catalog  BE CAREFUL with your choices  Fill in ALL Alternatives  Your parent/guardian signature is required.  Print and attach the “Student Course Requests Verification sheet” once you have completed and submitted your online registration.

How to Complete Online Registration  Directions are available on the Hoover website- HooverHS.org  Website to login is: Student.gusd.net  You will need your ID # and Zangle password.

You must print your student course request verification sheet, get it signed by your parent and attach it to your registration packet. All forms must be in to the Counseling office on or before March 13, Important reminder:

Online Registration for ALL grade levels will be open for ONLY 1 WEEK!  Seniors- February 17 th -February 27th  Juniors- February 19 th to March 3rd  Sophomores-February 20 th - February 27th  Freshmen- March 5 th -March 13 th  Roosevelt = March 5 th - March 13th  Toll = March 9th -March 13th

Registration Other information: Volunteer Programs and Service Awards—see Ms. Ibarra Seniors must have 5 classes (3 classes must meet A-G reqs.) Qualifying job must be verified prior to enrollment in Work Experience class. T.A.’s - only 12 th graders in good academic standing! Limited positions, you must choose an alternative in case you aren’t accepted. Students in ALL other grades must have 6 classes.

Registration Other information (continued) *Special classes= AP Classes, Journalism, Yearbook  Must attach AP Contracts/permission slips  Do NOT miss the AP meetings (Feb. 5, Feb. 24 or Feb.27)  All incoming 11 th & 12 th graders who already attended an AP Meeting last year, may pick up an AP contract from their Counselor.  Year-long commitment  Drop deadline is July 10, 2015  your Counselor  NO exceptions!

Registration School  Remedial Summer School (Make up F’s)  If a green SS form is attached to your registration packet you must get it signed and returned with your packet!  In session June 8- July 10 (5 weeks)  June 8-June 23 th = 1 st semester  June 24-July 10 th = 2 nd semester

Registration School Enrichment Summer School (Fee $$)  June 8 th - July 10 th  Tuition 10 credits $500 / Reduced Lunch $400  Tuition 5 credits $250 / Reduced Lunch $200  Pick up the applications in the counseling office or download the application form online. Classes offered: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Ceramics, Chemistry, Health, Spanish 5-6,Trigonometry and more… Check online for the most up to date info:

Registration Night School/Garfield Adult School Summer ROP courses—see Mrs. Butchko in the Center GCC/BYU- Must have prior approval (grades due by August 1st) Other Summer School – with approval, report card due by July 31st Fall drops for AP/Special classes – deadline for written request via to your Counselor by July 10, 2015 (last day of SS)

If you're not going to Summer School  What will you do? --community service --get a job --visit colleges --read up on careers Don't let your summer slip by without having done something worthwhile!

Registration Registration Pick Up Schedule  Counselors will pick up in Class  Ask teacher/check Counseling Office for dates  Plan ahead, do not fill out on the last day!  Ask /see a counselor during snack/ lunch/after school if you need help or have questions  Remember online registration window will close BEFORE the Counselors pick up your forms  PLAN AHEAD!!!
