Ms. Taylor 2nd Grade 770-578-7200 jessica.taylor2@cobbk12.org Ms. Taylor’s Sailors Week of February 12, 2017 A Peek at Our Week WEEKLY HOMEWORK Reading: Fairy Tales, Folktales, and Fables We will learn how to compare and contrasts two or more versions of the same story (ex: Cinderella stories) by different authors or from different cultures. MON Addition and subtraction practice sheet Math: 3 Digit Addition and Subtraction We will learn how to add and subtract within 1,000 using strategies (number line, expanded form, partial sum, place value). We will also mentally be able to add and subtract 10 or 100 to a given number 100-900. TUE Read for 20 minutes Using commas in a friendly letter Writing: Opinion Writing We will learn how to write an opinion piece by introducing the topic, stating an opinion, supplying reasons that support the opinion, using linking words, and providing a concluding statement. WED S.O.S. for the weekly sight words – which, first, most -dge/ -ge sort and code THU Read for 20 minutes How to take care of your teeth Health: Dental Health We will learn how to compare and contrasts proper and improper dental hygiene care and identify ways to care for our teeth.
