Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program Earn both high school and college credit All tuition, fees and books are paid for Provides expanded opportunities for high school students to experience college-level coursework Supplements the high school curriculum

Eligibility Must be enrolled at OFHS Maximum of four years participation Must be admitted to the college State requirement: student must have a 3.0 in the subject area in which they wish to take a course

Baldwin Wallace University Juniors and Seniors must have 3.5+ GPA and 24 ACT/ 1100 SAT on critical reading and math Equivalent PLAN or PSAT scores will be accepted Priority scheduling is given to Baldwin Wallace students first Deadline is May 1 st ($25 application fee and essay)

Cleveland State University CSU requires a 3.4 GPA for sophomores, juniors and seniors. 22 ACT (or PLAN) on each section AND 22 Composite, or 520 SAT on each section (critical reading and math) Deadline to apply is May 1 st ($30 application fee) Courses are based on space available

Lorain County Community College Freshmen should have a 3.9 GPA Sophomores should have a 3.7 GPA Juniors should have a 3.5 GPA Seniors should have a 3.0 GPA English and math placement tests are required Deadline is June 15 th Information Night: February 19 th 6:30-8:00pm LCCC Spitzer Conference Center

Cuyahoga Community College 3.5 GPA for freshmen and sophomores 3.0 GPA for juniors and seniors Math and English placement tests are required 21 Math and 20 English ACT scores allow you to waive placement tests You are encouraged to apply by April 16 th, but have until 30 days prior to the start of the semester Information night: Wednesday, March 6th at the Tri- C Westshore Campus. Registration begins at 5:45pm

High School Procedures Students schedule full or part-time Total schedule cannot exceed 8 credits Summer courses are not available Honors courses at the college are not awarded honors weight at the high school Comparable credit for comparable coursework Courses will become part of high school transcript and count in GPA and ranking Grade issued once books/materials are returned to college

Student/Parent Responsibilities Must pay for course if you withdraw or fail a course. Transportation Courses must be non-sectarian Student must meet college performance standards Student must complete graduation requirements

Advantages Expands educational opportunities Allows students to become familiar with college curriculum Allows for dual credit at no cost Course Applicability Website Possibility of earning an Associate’s Degree & high school diploma simultaneously Access to all college services

Disadvantages Athletics and activities may be affected Communication with OFHS can be limited Transportation Return to OFHS midyear is difficult College calendar/breaks are different Socialization issues with older students Receiving school decides whether to issue college credit for PSEOP coursework General increase in student responsibility May affect GPA and class rank

Steps to Participate in PSEO 1.Turn in ‘Intent to Participate’ form by March 1, 2013 to your school counselor 2.Apply to the college-take necessary placement tests 3.Once admitted, schedule a mandatory meeting with your counselor and parents during the month of March/April to discuss individual scheduling issues 4.Finalize OFHS/college schedule by June
