Entering Room Please enter quietly. Have a seat. Take out your materials. Begin starter before tardy bell rings.

When you are tardy… Enter quietly. Place excuse in the basket on my desk. You must have an excuse to enter. Have a seat and take out your materials.

Starters… Write at least 3 paragraphs about the journal entry topic in your Mead Black Marble Wide Ruled Composition Book. If I am absent for the day or do not have a journal entry topic on board, then your journal entry topic will be a free-write. I will check starters to ensure you are completing them but I will not read them so feel free to express yourself as needed. On free-write days, you can write about whatever you want. So if you need to vent about something, please do so. Please make sure you are dating each journal entry and separate your paragraphs.

Getting Your Attention I will . . . Stand in front of the class. Raise my hand. Wait for everyone to be quiet. Begin speaking.

Raise your hand quietly until called upon. Getting My Attention… Raise your hand quietly until called upon.
