Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bellwork when the tardy bell rings.
Bring ALL books and materials to class and take them with you when you leave.
Follow directions the first time they are given.
Treat each person in this room with respect and dignity.
Follow all procedures and policies as outlined in the UHS and Ferndale Public Schools handbooks.

12. Classroom Procedures Entering Class “Have a great day!” Exiting Class
After entering the room, students may not leave without permission.
Upon entering, students should go to their assigned seats and prepare for class.
Begin working on bellwork
Exiting Class
The teacher dismisses you, not the bell.
Do not start packing up prior to the bell.
Students are responsible for cleaning the area around their desks before leaving the room.
Wait until the teacher finishes and officially dismisses you with
“Have a great day!”

13. Classroom Procedures Writing Utensils Being Prepared
Students may use a pencil or a pen (blue or black ink)
Blue or black ink should be used for formal writing assignments.
Typed or computer generated work will be accepted for formal writing assignments

23. Moving Around the Room Trash Pencil Sharpening

If your lead breaks and you have no other writing utensil, you may sharpen your pencil ONLY during independent or group work time. YOU MAY NOT SHARPEN DURIN G INSTRUCTION OR DISCUSSION

24. RESTROOM & WATER Restroom Water
Students should use the restroom before class.
Students will be allotted four (4) restroom passes per semester for use in extreme emergencies.
Passes will not be given during the first/last ten minutes of class.
