Class Rules Personal Best Personal Respect Personal Responsibility Failure to follow rules will result in progressive discipline

Locker Room Rules Running and chasing are prohibited Standing on benches is prohibited Throwing of items is prohibited Pick up after yourself No physical contact allowed Food and gum are prohibited Failure to follow rules will result in progressive discipline

Discipline Policy 1st offense – verbal warning 2nd offense – sit out/cool off and teacher/student conference 3rd offense – removal from activity and parent contact 4th offense – Dean’s referral Some infractions are serious enough to warrant a referral to the Dean for the initial incident – i.e. fighting

Whistle Signals 1 short = start 2 short = stop/switch/rotate 1 long = come to me & squad up 3 long = class is over

Grading Semester 45% - 1st or 3rd quarter 45% - 2nd or 4th quarter 10% - final exam Quarter 60% - participation 30% - development 10% - classwork/ homework

Daily point rubric – Personal Best Daily Grading 5 points per day Daily point rubric – Personal Best Points lost due to lack of personal best or personal respect cannot be made up.

Daily Points Rubric 5 Gives top effort daily, models a high level of participation, self motivated, committed to improving personal fitness, encourages others. 4 Consistent daily effort, good level of participation, displays quality movement during activity time, stays on task, maintains personal fitness. 3 Needs some reminders to participate, puts forth minimum effort, contributes little to activity, does not work hard to improve personal fitness. 2 Poor effort, little or no movement during activity, numerous excuses for inactivity, socializing interferes with participation and the flow of the activity.

Citizenship Students will receive citations for the following incidents: Citations can be checked by looking at the comments section of the daily points on Infinite Campus. For every 3 citations a student’s citizenship will drop one letter. Personal Respect Personal Responsibility Disrespect - people, equipment, property Inappropriate language Poor sportsmanship No uniform or incomplete uniform Tardy Phone/electronics Food, gum

Daily Info Board Dress Area Activity Materials needed Homework/Reminders Students must check the info board while entering the locker room. It contains all of the information for the day’s lesson.

Locker Room Procedures Enter and exit quietly Use restrooms before or after class Lock ALL personal items in locker Lockers are for PE use only Teachers are not responsible for lost or stolen items

Absences After returning, the student must initiate contact with Mrs. Skinner to receive missed assignments Student must complete make-up work assignment(s) within 3 days of returning Lengthy absences will be allotted more time

Dress Out Policy Students are expected to be in the proper PE uniform each day Shirt, shorts and shoes You may NOT wear your school clothes under your PE uniform If you do not have your PE clothes you will still participate

Cell Phones Cell phones are to be locked in your locker. Do not bring your phone to the activity area. You may not use your phone during changing times.
