Sra. Passeri Classroom Management Setting Standards This presentation is: FOR ALL OF YOU My future students

This is how we do it ……. * It is a mutual compromise LAW OF THE LAND This is how we do it ……. * It is a mutual compromise

R E S P E C T Respect yourself and all of us Respect the language Respect your instructor (Sra. Passeri) Respect all those who enter the classroom R E S P E C T R E S P E C T AMONG ALL OF US

You will do fine just follow the rules

YOU CANNOT WRITE WITH PENCIL IN THIS CLASS

ABSENCES If you are absent PLEASE DO NOT: Come and stand in front of my desk Take in consideration that we are a large class and 30 + students are waiting for instruction. Ask three of your classmates to verify the absent work OR Check the trays assigned for “ABSENT STUDENTS WORK” to see if you need to complete any handout. Go too the next slide

CONTINUATION FOR ABSENCES. If any of your classmates cannot give you an accurate information then: See me the next morning before school starts. PROCEDURE: Ask for a pass Be on time as is important to get your missing work or assignment. IT’S YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You are in a classroom not at the beach. If you cannot stop talking, don’t enter my class. You need to be quite and began preparing for the day. Get your supplies ready: Review your vocabulary or material from the previous day. Check to see that you have your binder and pen You are in a classroom not at the beach. Dress accordingly, respect yourself and the others. Guys there is no need to let us see your undergarments DON’T SAG YOUR PANTS

INTEGRITY Active participation will benefit you in the process of learning a foreign language. During quizzes or test: If I see you looking UP- you are looking for inspiration. If I see you looking DOWN- you are in desperation. If I see you looking to the sides YOU WILL GET A ZERO. No questions ask. A call home to notify and no possibilities to make up the grade. MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE.

CHEATING

CODE OF ETHICS

DO NOT ARGUE You make the choice accept the consequence Your ZERO cannot be make up at all Your parents will be notify of your bad choice. Do not pretend “I DIDN’T DO IT”

Control your temper in my classroom, for this is not your house. Disruptive behavior that interferes with classroom learning or the instructor’s teaching will NOT BE TOLERATED. Students will be asked to leave the class, will receive a zero for the day and will be reported to the AP. Think twice before you have a bad moment. Control your way to speak, PROFANITY is not accepted you will be reported immediately to your correspondent AP and a phone call to your parents. Keep classroom discussion on an academic level. YOU ARE on your way to becoming professional, so we need to talk that way. REMEMBER: If you are upset or having a bad day that doesn’t make us part of that frustration, try to solve the problem in different ways.

Extracurricular Activities

If you participate in any extracurricular activities read carefully the following and remember it. You need to check the day you will be absent due to your participation in that activity. If you are missing a quiz or a test, on the day your are back YOU WILL TAKE IT. If it is a project it will follow the same rule or points will be deducted for not complying with the assignment.
