All my class notes are on my website under power points ( class notes ) .

4 What you will need\ supply list
PENS ( blue or black and red ) PENCILS Crayons or colored pencils Spanish/English dictionary FLASH DRIVE

5 COURSE OVERVIEW Students will learn:
Basic vocabulary, Grammar, Conversational Spanish, and various aspects of Hispanic culture. We will also integrate other disciplines into our lessons when we can.

6 What gets graded? If we do it then you are accountable for it.
35% Tests/ quizzes 15% Homework 50% Classwork ( class projects , bell work, oral responses participation etc)

7 Personal policies: 1.Assignments can be made up but will only receive partial credit 2.Behavior will affect participation points. 3.Students are expected to begin working on their bell work as soon as they enter the class. Also please fill in your agendas everyday. 4.Students are expected to have all their supplies and be ready for class (this should include all their materials and any homework due. 5.Make up work will be found in students folders in files in back of the room, and it is the students’ responsibility to take, complete and turn in any make up work on time. They have one class period for each day absent. After that work will not be given full credit . 6.Students will sign out and in when leaving the classroom. Write your name and destination , time out and time in.

7.Students will have assigned seats and are expected to be in their seats unless otherwise instructed. 8. I f an assignment is returned to you and it says “ fix “ you have one class period to fix it for a better grade . TESTS and quizzes cannot be fixed. 9. Graded papers will be returned to your folders and it is your responsibility to get them out and check if anything needs “ fixing “ , again you only have one class period to fix for better grade. 10. All papers that are turned in should include the following: First name, last name, class period and date. Any papers turned in without names will be thrown away and therefore receive no credit ****

9 Rules and regulations No gum chewing. No food. Water only.
Raise your hand and wait to be called. Be prepared for class ( supplies) Write target and homework in your student planner. Start to work as soon as you enter class ( DO NOW) Do not disrupt me or others in class. When coming or going from the room do so quietly to not disturb the class. Stay in seats unless you are given permission by me to move. When signing out include where you are going time out and time in. During a fire drill line up quietly single file in the front of the room, then exit quietly out the door to the right and out of the building . No gum chewing. No food. Water only.

11 What goes where? Late slips are to be placed on my desk.
Make up work is found in students folders on the back counter. Each period has its own file. Completed make up work is to be put in the letter slots on the back table according to your class period. Agenda for the day will always be on the white board, bell work will always be displayed on the white screen. Bell work will be either a work sheet found on the front table, an activity under the doc camera to be completed in your binder or an activity in the text book to be completed in your binder.

12 FOR NEXT CLASS PERIOD Make sure to look over the syllabus and return it signed next class period. You will have a quiz on some of the rules and regulations. DUE NEXT CLASS: Syllabus Decorated folders.
