Would you like to see $18 million go towards educational technology for Alief ISD and the community? Are you interested in Alief Adult Learning Programs or know someone who is? Do you have a child/relative/friend or know someone who attends school in Alief ISD? Are you an educator of Alief ISD?

Universal Design for Learning (UDL) The community and school district of Alief serves a population of Pre- Kindergarten through 12 th grade students as well as adult learners of the community. The educational domains that represent Alief ISD and the community are based off the principles of the UDL guidelines

Everything About UDL 3 primary principles of UDL: 1.Provides multiple means of representation 2.Provides multiple means of action and expression 3.Provides multiple means of engagement What does UDL look like? Word2Word- Online dictionaries in students' native languages to help build vocabulary and background knowledge. (Resource) *Alief is a diverse community also know as the ‘International District’, this online resource caters to the many cultures that make up our community. Incorporating UDL principles enhances learning by providing differentiated learning opportunities to fit the needs of all learners. By doing so all learners will have the same educational opportunities that will lead to the same outcome even if the learners is working at a different pace from their peer. Lets Take a Closer Look… Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) program Content Knowledge and 21st Century Themes From taking this course students will learn 21st century interdisciplinary themes into curriculum such as ‘Health Literacy Learning and Innovation Skills From taking this course students will learn Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills that will allow them to reason effectively and make judgments and decisions. Information, Media, and Technology Skills From taking this course students will learn the most up- to-date ICT literacy and learn to apply technology effectively. Life and Career Skills From taking this course students will learn to navigate the complex life and work environments. The students have a large focus on Flexibility & Adaptability.

P21's Framework for 21st Century Learning was developed to define and illustrate the skills and knowledge students need to succeed in work, life and citizenship, as well as the support systems necessary for 21st century learning outcomes. Framework for 21 st Century Learning What does this mean for you… As the use of technology increases and updates you will be doing the same, getting better prepared for your future in education and in the workplace. Students can exit high school ready for the workforce and adult learners can get back on track without isolation in the classroom.

$18 Million Educational Technology Bond The $18 Million Educational Technology Bond can serve as a GREAT change for the community of Alief. Implementing this bond will set all of our learners up for a great path of success for their future and the development of the community.
