Station 1: Universal Design for Learning  Provides learners various ways to acquire information and knowledge  Learners can demonstrate what they know in various ways  Designed to engage learners through their interests, challenge them appropriately, and motivate them through relevant practices

Short Video about UDL The video provides examples of how UDL is designed to work within a classroom and its benefits for all students. The use of technology is an important element for creating a UDL environment and providing learners various opportunities to acquire and demonstrate knowledge.

UDL & Differentiation  UDL is a method of teaching that does not expect teachers to design individual lessons for each student, instead their lesson should include various methods of acquiring information based on student needs.  Students in our district will benefit from an UDL environment as we meet their needs through instruction that is relevant to their lives, based on their interests, and engages them in various ways.

Station Interaction  Educators, parents, students, and community members feel free to interact with the various technology that will be used in an UDL classroom. The station will involve learning content in various methods, including through videos, books on tape, text-to- speech, video cameras, comic strips, and other examples that represent UDL.  We want everyone to interact with this station and provide feedback about how they feel this improved their learning experience or any suggestions they may have that will provide additional support for UDL learning for everyone involved in our community.  This station was designed to provide you a glimpse of what our community should expect if we have the resources to implement UDL in all aspects of our learning community. We established a principle of learning to a technological device that will support our mission of supporting this bond (Edyburn, 2013).

Career and Technical Education (CTE) Mission  Empowering learners to become life-long learners that will prepare them for future success in college, career, and life.

The Goals of CTE  Learners will be better prepared for college readiness  Learners will enter workforce with the skills necessary to compete in a global workforce  Learners will be prepared to use technological devices to support their 21 st century skills

Course and Program Offerings Agriculture, Food, & Natural Resources Architecture & Construction Arts, A/V Technology, & Communications Business Management & Administration Finance Government & Public Administration Health Science Hospitality & Tourism Information Technology Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security Marketing

Technology and 21 st Century Skills  21 st century skills gained from this course include content knowledge, especially in language arts, math, and science. Communication and collaboration was gained as learners develop strategies of working with peers, educators, and professionals. Technology skills were gained as learners realize the importance of technology and its impact on our society and world. Life and career skills were gained in this course as learners apply content to real-world situations. Learners will use ICT Literacy skills as they learn the importance and responsibility of technology and its impact on future situations. Showcase course - Information Technology Learners will experience multiple areas concerned with information technology, including, but not limited to, work activities typically performed, tools and technology used, nature of work environment, and the knowledge and skills needed for success (Tennessee Department of Education, n.d.).

Interaction with Tools and Devices  New Technology – The approved bond will provide each classroom with updated technology, as well as the ability to create additional courses that will better prepare our learners for future success in college, career, and life. Students will be better prepared to think and respond to uncertainly that exist in our world (Nicholl, et al., 2013). Device – Digital Camera Interaction – Create images and videos, use image editing, saved instantly to the camera for viewing or editing, easily delete unwanted images/videos, etc. Attendees will recognize how technology encourages creativity and innovation. Attendees will understand the importance of technology as it relates to future student success.
