3 Audience  Flyers all over town…"What does education look like today?Try it on at our "No More Cookie Cutter Education Event!"  Social media polls…"How does today's education effect you?" "Can you do your children's homework"" "What would you change about today's education?" All results available at event!  Four tables set up…Pre-K – 2nd/3rd – 5th table, 6th – 8th/9th – 12th table, Technical school/Adult Education table  Business/casual appearance, colorful not busy, light refreshments (Pre-K/Kinder style snacks)  Performances by local music classes, drama classes, pictures and decorations made by local art classes

4 Information & Demonstration  Hands on activities at each grade level  UDL Chart/visual explanation  Real classroom images and videos  Real classroom lesson plans to view

5 Differentiation  Different learning styles  Varying skill level and ability  Disorders, disabilities, and delays  No cookie cutter teaching  Process not product  Teaching concept in a variety of ways

6 Attendee Interaction  iPads & white boards…age appropriate games/notes  Research ideas at table…middle/high school  Brainstorming sessions on smart boards  Blank lesson plans for each age group…complete me! (Teamwork)  Parking lot area to leave thoughts, questions, comments

8 Mission, Belief, Goals  Mission:  To educate our community in the correct use of technology, build awareness of the dangers with misuse, and create employability within our community.  Belief:  Technology is the ever changing key to the future, what is learned today will be outdated within a month.  Goals:  Inform community of the dangers of social media  Build skills such as software use and leadership  Instill confidence in navigating and searching the Internet  Help individuals gain knowledge to move from welfare/unemployment to the workforce
