S TATION 1: U NIVERSAL D ESIGN FOR L EARNING (UDL)

D ISCUSS HOW YOU WILL GET THE AUDIENCES ’ ATTENTION TO VISIT THIS STATION. W HAT MIGHT THE STATION LOOK LIKE OR INCLUDE TO DRAW PEOPLE TO IT ? To get the attention of others I will have on a hat with different technology on it. My table will be set up to show others the importance of everyone learning the same skills and concepts but in their own learning style. I will have different pop ups and technology to make others want to see what's happening at my table.

D ESCRIBE THE MOST ESSENTIAL INFORMATION ATTENDEES SHOULD KNOW ABOUT UDL AND HOW IT SPECIFICALLY PERTAINS TO THE POPULATION OF P RE -K INDERGARTEN THROUGH 12 TH GRADE STUDENTS IN THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OR THE ADULT LEARNERS AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER. I NCLUDE REFERENCES FOR AT LEAST TWO SOURCES TO SUPPORT THIS INFORMATION. Provide Multiple Means of Engagement Provide Multiple Means of Representation Provide Multiple Means of Action & Expression Everyone learns differently but using UDL everyone can learn the same concepts in a way they all will understand. 5 D ISCUSS HOW WOULD YOU DEMONSTRATE UDL IN ACTION. F OR EXAMPLE, WOULD YOU INCLUDE A VIDEO OF IT BEING MODELED, A SAMPLE INSTRUCTIONAL PLAN, OR AN EXAMPLE OF A RESOURCE OR SOURCE OF TECHNOLOGY THAT SUPPORTS UDL SUCH AS WHAT WAS REVIEWED DURING W EEK F OUR ? To demonstrate UDL in action I would simply play a video of it being modeled then I would give an sample instructional plan. In my instructional plan I will hit the main three strategies and actually show them how to do multiple means of engagement, multiple means of presentation, and multiple means of action and expression.

D ISCUSS THE IMPACT UDL HAS ON TEACHING AND LEARNING FOR THE SPECIFIC POPULATION OF PK THROUGH 12 TH GRADE STUDENTS AT THE SCHOOL DISTRICT OR ADULT LEARNERS AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER. I N YOUR DISCUSSION, INCLUDE HOW INCORPORATING UDL PRINCIPLES ENHANCES LEARNING BY PROVIDING DIFFERENTIATED LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES. A LSO INCLUDE A REFERENCE FOR AT LEAST ONE SOURCE TO SUPPORT THIS INFORMATION. For grades pre k through 12 th UDL have an extremely impressive impact on the students. It allows all student despite their learning style to be able to learn the same concepts plus it puts some fun into learning. No one will be left in the dark using the UDL approach. Using the UDL principles enhances learning by having a variety of different ways to learn one skill, it gives them a variety of ways to see the skill being taught to them. Students get to see what they are expected to do and they can actually have the chance to do the skill to get to learn it hands on. CAST. (2010, January 6). UDL at a glance [Video file]. 7 D ESCRIBE HOW ATTENDEES COULD INTERACT IN THIS STATION. H OW MIGHT THIS INCREASE THEIR INTEREST AND APPRECIATION FOR EDUCATIONAL USE OF TECHNOLOGY ? Attendees will be able to use some of the technology I have at my station and do a mini lesson or a skill to see how technology can enhance something as simple as working a subtraction problem by using technology.

S TATION 2: T ECHNOLOGY AND UDL FOR A LL L EARNERS Mission, Belief, and Goals Our mission is to help our students gain the skills and knowledge they will need to adventure into the real world. We will implement technology into all of our CTE classes and regular academic programs to help them gain the hands on experience they will need to succeed in the world. Our belief is that all students have a choice in what they want to learn and what they choose to be and with our CTE programs they all can succeed and have a chance to make that choice. Goal 1 to give students the hand on experince in a trade. Goal 2 to let students have a choice in what trade they want to practice but not forgetting about academics.

S TATION 3: 21 ST -C ENTURY S KILLS A CQUISITION AND E MPLOYABILITY Radio/ TV program Students who participate in this course will learn life and career skills by doing and practicing this trade hands on and gaining extra experience before they even go into the filed. Students will use a variety of technology in this program from sound boards to working the camera. They will also have to use critical thinking skills by having to come up with story boards, how to get ratings up, and etc. Students will apply technology effectively 8in their daily assignments. Students will use computers to research different data to support their show and their show plan. Once they have effectively planned they will then start to work on the project and develop it out with out breaking any copyright laws. This will help them with future employment because they could submit this as a sample work and to show their experience. Tools students will also use smart boards and tablets/ipads for research and to collect data.

D ESCRIBE HOW ATTENDEES MIGHT INTERACT WITH THE INFORMATION AND TOOL ( S ) PRESENTED AT THIS STATION. H OW MIGHT THIS INCREASE THEIR INTEREST AND APPRECIATION FOR EDUCATIONAL USE OF TECHNOLOGY ? Attendees can use the information and any tools at the station to test them out themselves. Its one thing to hear someone saying something but to actually touch the equipment. They will also be able to look at videos of students in some of these programs and look at some of students work. Discuss how school or community programs, courses, and students would benefit from upgraded technology from approved bond. Our school will benefit from upgraded technology by helping our students get the extra experience they will need in order to be up for employment after the program.
