Students Stand at the door to greet them Discuss supplies - expectations Write objectives on the board. Student-generated class rules Set the stage with: Attire, voice, firm tone Lab Day proceduresWarm-up activity posted on the board Post the class rules Activity to keep them busy Trash and pencil sharpening Homework posted on the board Check their schedulesRestroom Procedure After the bell, explain proper entry procedure, then have them go out and come back in properly Post grades (by birth date, ID number, etc). It is their responsibility to check to see if you have their work. Establish classroom flow – do we walk between desks, around the outside edge, behind the teacher’s desk? Keep the rules positive: Tell them what they SHOULD do, stay away from the DON’TS. Get to know me sheetWho opens the door?
