2 Student Behaviors/Expectations
Come in Quietly Take out your conduct card. This is a good time to sharpen your pencils. Write down the homework in your agenda. Start the “Do Now” assignment. Be Prepared Have your materials with you. (Take out last night’s homework.) Be Positive and Polite Speak in a normal tone of voice, and listen attentively. You would want others to do the same for you! Participate Turn in work on time, and ALWAYS DO YOUR BEST!

3 Show Respect Value yourself. Be honest and ethical, and practice strong moral values. Treat all members of the school community and all visitors with politeness and respect. Honor the ideas and opinions of others. Offer to help. Be responsible with property and belongings. Keep all of yourself to yourself at all times. This is our school’s “Hands Off” policy.

4 What do you do when you come into class?
You are to come in quietly, and place your conduct card on your desk. 2. Get all materials out and ready to go (sharpen pencils). 3. Write down homework in your agenda. 4. Start the “Do Now” assignment. 5. Get HW out for me to check. ** Study your notes or read quietly until you are instructed to do otherwise. **

5 Responsibility for Coursework
Bring binder (with agenda and supplies) to class. Know due dates, and submit all coursework on time. All assignments are posted on the board and on the school web site. Handouts missed due to absence are available in folders on the wall between the desktop computer and the bell schedule.

6 Grading Policy Grades are based on the following: 25% tests
Our Grading Scale 90-100% = A 80-89% = B 70-79% = C 60-69% = D Below 60% = F Grades are calculated on cumulative percentage and are rounded up whenever possible. Grades are based on the following: 25% tests 20% quizzes 20% notebook 20% projects/labs/demonstrations 15% homework Late work is NOT accepted after 1 week or 5 school days. Each day late drops the score of the assignment a 5 points. Expect Ms. Jones to call home to get assignments completed. The minimum grade given on an assignment is a 40.
