Idiom LET Questions What is an idiom? An idiom is a phrase where the words together have a meaning different from the dictionary definition of individual words. RainCat Dog “It’s raining cats and dogs.”

“A penny saved is a penny earned” Explanation: This means we shouldn’t spend or waste money but instead save it. Sample sentence: “I decided to watch a movie at home instead of at the mall. After all, a penny saved is a penny earned.”
