Junior/Senior Parent Meeting For the graduating class of 2011

How to Make the College Choice: Take a visual tour of the campus Make a college visit Talk to alumni Contact the admissions office Attend college preview days

APPLYTexas Workshop  Wednesday, October 20th in Rider Tech Lab  The workshop is taught by MSU Admission Counselors, but is good for any school that will accept APPLYTexas application.  Students must sign-up in College Readiness office by October 15th-space is limited.  Students must complete Profile portion of application prior to workshop.  For those interested in attending MSU, they will possibly waive the $25 application fee

College Readiness Updates: Send an to Mrs. Johnson at and she will add you to the list to receive update s once a week – mainly for seniors and their parents, but junior parents can participate, too.

Requesting Transcripts We must have on file a parent-signed permission form to release transcripts. Students will be receiving this in their meeting Thursday morning, so be looking for it. Once we have this, students fill out a Transcript request form, stating where or to whom we need to send or release the transcript. Multiple transcripts may be requested.

Graduation Info Graduate Sales will be giving a presentation to Seniors on Tuesday, November 9 about order Caps, Gowns, Invitations, etc. Please be looking for information that is sent home with your child. Counselors are meeting with Seniors on Thursday morning. Please ask to see information they received.

Diplomas Diploma should have students’ full legal name printed on it. When filling in this information, be sure to print neatly and spell the full legal name correctly.
