RECIPROCAL RELATIONSHIPS: The amount of give and take is equal. EX: You work out differences with a friend without hurting them

AFFIRMATIONS: Positive expressions that smooth the way to mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation.

Examples of Affirmations: Showing kindness Giving praise Building self-esteem Showing appreciation

Assertive Communication: Direct and honest communication about what you think, feel, believe, or want without showing disrespect. Use I-messages

Aggressive Communication Verbal attack that judges and tramples on the feelings of others.

Nonverbal Communication Expressions Gestures Body posture
