THINGS TO REMEMBER Gum chewing: If I see it or hear it, you pitch it! Tardy: Bring a slip from the office or another teacher. Please use pencils for work. Mechanical pencils only if they are quiet. Keep chair on all four legs or lose it!

HOMEWORK I do not usually assign homework If you do not finish work in class – it is homework unless I tell you we will work on it the next day If you do have homework, I expect you to finish it and bring it back the next day You may get a lower grade or even a zero if homework is not returned on time

CLASSROOM In your seats and quiet when the bell rings. Work on sentence fix. Wait for journal topic. Raise your hand if you have a question Be patient while others are being helped Work so you don’t disturb others

WORKBOOKS Turn them in on the counter with others Keep workbooks open to the lesson to be corrected If you forget or lose it, you must copy out of another book

PAPERS Name, Hour, Assignment and Date in the upper right corner Turn in: boxes by hour I’ll try to pass out corrected papers daily during journal time 3 days late = 0 One chance on REDO work, turn in: REDO box

IF YOU ARE GONE... Find the assignment sheet for the day(s) you were absent Copy the assignment(s) into your planner (or on paper) Finish current work first, then work on late work. You have the same number of days you were gone to get the work finished.

WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED... Do any missing, late or other work for my class first. Do work from another class. Read a book. Find a review sheet from the green cabinet to do. Always be quiet!

Other classes… I’ll be checking throughout the year with other teachers to see how you are doing in their classes Remember: The more work you do here, the less you have as homework!

COMPUTER RULES 15 minutes at a time (unless told differently) Educational games or work ONLY No food or drink near the computers Only use once a day (unless told differently) You will not be able to play on them a lot - so bring work with you

Leaving the Classroom ONLY for legitimate reasons Use the bathroom/get a drink in between classes – you have time! Be quiet Take the pass Make it fast! Fire/Tornado drills – Where do we go?
