Students will enter the classroom quickly and quietly with proper materials Immediately get your materials out, sit in your seat and begin the bell ringer. This will be done without being told and silently If you finish the bell ringer before time is up, silently read Do not stop in the hallway and ask to go anywhere when entering the room.

If you are late, enter the classroom and put the tardy slip in the green basket on Mrs. Ruschel’s desk. Quietly have a seat and begin working on whatever the rest of the class is working on. Do not come in loudly and announce where you were or why you were late. Do not come in and talk to your classmates, the agenda will be posted so just pick up with what we are doing

If you need to sharpen your pencil and your personal sharpener isn’t working raise your pencil in the air. If you need to use the restroom, raise your hand with your fingers crossed If you have a question or want to speak (and it is relevant) you must raise your hand. There will be NO speaking out in the classroom unless we are doing an activity that requires talking. I will either nod yes if you are permitted to sharpen pencil or use restroom or I will shake my head no if it is not the appropriate time. If you are going to be sick, rush to the trash can!!!

Handing in Papers If we have papers to turn in during class you will pass them to the left. The person next to you will then pass to the left and so on until it gets to the last person in that row. They will then pass the stack of papers forward and the person in the front left corner will place them in the correct box. If we are taking a test, you will bring the paper to the basket in the front of the room quietly. Correct Heading for Papers This should be located in the top right hand corner of EVERY paper First and Last Name Date Number (will be assigned) Assignment Name

 Agendas should be brought to school each day  NO sharing of agendas allowed  Replacement Agenda is $8

 IDs are worn outside the shirt or jacket at all times  If you are wearing a temporary ID, it must be worn on outer clothing and must be visible  Do not deface ID. Do not draw, write, mark, or place stickers on ID.

 Exit classroom to the right  Walk on the right side of the hallway  Loop at the appropriate place in the hall  Do not stop looping to wait outside a teacher’s door. If the teacher’s door is closed or students are coming out continue to loop one more time and by that time the room should be empty and you may enter that teacher’s room

 You will only be allowed to leave during class for an EMERGENCY  Unexcused non-emergencies will result in 1 day silent lunch  Designated time to use restroom  In the morning before entering the gym  At lunch

If there was homework it should be placed in the correct basket before being seated and doing bell work. If homework was not completed the student must fill out the late assignment sheet and place it in the basket. The student MUST still complete the assignment and turn it in the next day. Parents contacted on major assignments OR when missing work exceeds three assignments. Homework papers will also include the full heading

If you were absent you must check the bin for the correct date to get your assignments, these will be listed on Echo as well. If you missed notes please see another student for the information You will have two days to make up assignments. If you missed a quiz or test you must make arrangements to make up the assessment I will not search for you to make up work, it is your responsibility.

If I need to get your attention I will raise my hand with my thumb up. You will then be silent and also raise your hand with your thumb up until everyone is silent and I put my hand down. You will be expected to remain silent until I tell you it is ok to talk.

I will give you time to put away your belongings. You will not put things away while I am still talking. If your next teacher requires you to walk into class with materials out then you will get those materials out and set them on your desk. You may NOT walk with your Chromebooks out. When it is time to leave the class I will dismiss you by rows. This will be a silent procedure. You will leave the class and go to the right and loop.
