Start & Expand Your Network Gather all your old contact addresses (E- mail inbox, business cards, Act!, Goldmine, etc.) Merge all the above into one Excel sheet Save it as a CSV and import that into LinkedIn Or copy and paste addresses separated by commas Once uploaded, you will notice many people already have LinkedIn accounts. Invite them all! Search LinkedIn for other colleagues and classmates

LinkedIn Introductions & OpenLink Messages When contacting people… Be clear, brief, informative and honest Make sure the messages is personalized They will see your profile, which builds trust Introductions and OpenLink messages are freed for reuse when: You withdraw the message You don’t get a response in 7 days The person accepts your message

What if Five Introductions is Not Enough? You have used up all 5 Introductions. What can you do now? Pay LinkedIn for more Introductions and OpenLink messages. Direct contact through research Make a phone call the person directly
