2 What is LinkedIn? LinkedIn is a social networking site designed specifically for the business community. The goal of the site is to allow registered members to establish and document networks of people they know and trust professionally. LinkedIn is the professional person’s “Six Degrees of Separation,” in which you can connect with people you don't know through the people you do know. As a home business owner, it's an ideal way to mingle with influencers and potential partners, build your client base, and get referrals.
