632-BILL Office of Student Accounts & Bursar Orientation Fall 2015 Payments SOLAR Refunds Account Access Billing Pay Plans Holds & Late Fees Liability

All billing is done electronically; No paper billing statement will be mailed. ELECTRONIC BILLING & PAYMENT Bills are available online on “SOLAR” “SOLAR Messages” and notifications will be sent regarding billing and payment due dates Pay online on SOLAR using a credit card, or electronic funds transfer

Bills are posted to SOLAR under “Campus Financial Services.” VIEWING YOUR BILL ONLINE

SOLAR includes the student’s academic records; third party access to the system *must be delegated by the student Students may specify up to two additional addresses to receive billing information. Sign up in SOLAR under “Campus Financial Services.” SETTING A BILLING NOTIFICATION ADDRESS

Students may grant third parties (parents/guardians) direct access to their bill on SOLAR from the Home Page. Limit 10. DELEGATED ACCESS Delegates will receive their own User ID and password Currently, students can grant access to their bill and to the Time Option Payment Plan (TOPP)

TOPP is a semester based plan- Fall / Spring only. You must join (re-join) each term if you wish to use TOPP. TIME OPTION PAYMENT PLAN (TOPP) There is a non-refundable $40 application fee each semester TOPP for Fall 2015 will offer two options  4 monthly payments – enroll by August 15, 2015  3 monthly payments – enroll by September 15, 2015 Failure to make a scheduled monthly payment results in removal from TOPP and the assessment of late fees/holds

TOPP enrollment is completed on SOLAR under Campus Financial Services, and…  …upon receipt of your first payment 

BILLING AND PAYMENT DUE DATES Fall Billing -- July 15, 2015 Earliest Fall semester bill date for registered students Payment due by August 15 th (or enrollment into payment plan) Late fees after September 15 th Holds on unpaid accounts Will not de-register students for late payment Billing information in Solar will contain and subtract any authorized anticipated aid in the calculation of the amount due

Charges may vary based on enrollment, housing and meal plan options, and a variety of other factors. How are refunds processed? REFUNDS Direct Deposit Refunds Run Daily and transfer funds directly to enrolled checking account Time from disbursement to refund is generally 1-3 days Direct deposit enrollment is done on SOLAR under Campus Financial Services (edit/remove any time) Paper Check Refunds Run only twice per month Can take 1-2 weeks from the time of disbursement to refund Credit Card Refunds Process back to the card used at time of payment

When dropping classes below a full-time credit load, the student may have to pay some/all tuition and fees for the dropped credits based on the Liability Schedule An updated schedule is published on the academic calendar prior to each semester Students who do not file the appropriate withdrawal or do not drop before the end of the fourth week of classes are liable for their full charges (No Refund) TUITION AND FEE LIABILITY
