Common Application  Create Common Application account  Complete FERPA Statement in Naviance  Click on “Colleges” tab  Click on “Colleges I am applying to”  Check off either Yes or No  Enter username & password from Common App account  Click “Submit”  Complete & submit your application via the Common App web site  Send SATs & ACTs directly from respective company  Submit to the Guidance Office  A blue transcript form  Add college in your “colleges I’m applying to” list in Naviance and request a transcript in Naviance

WARNING FOR &  FAILURE TO SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION WITHIN 60 DAYS OF THE GUIDANCE OFFICE ELECTRONICALLY SENDING YOUR TRANSCRIPT WILL RESULT IN THE DOCUMENT BEING VOIDED.  IF 60 DAYS HAS ELAPSED, A NEW TRANSCRIPT RELEASE FORM WILL HAVE TO BE SUBMITTED IN ORDER TO SEND A COPY VIA US MAIL  AFTER 60 DAYS, EASTERN HS CANNOT GUARANTEE OR ELECTRONICALLY TRACK THE ARRIVAL TIME OF THE TRANSCRIPT.

Rutgerssee handout  Submit application electronically  NO transcripts are necessary!!!  Fill out the SRAR (Self Reported Academic Record) & submit  Ask your counselor for a copy of your historical grades.  Disclose all classes taken and grades received.  Your application will NOT be considered complete until the university receives this report.  ONLY a final transcript will be required if you are officially attending Rutgers University

Remember…  Create a Common Application account.   Send all standardized test scores directly from company.    Complete a blue transcript release form PER college applied and add college to your college list in Naviance  Please follow the steps outlined in these slides.  BE THOROUGH!!!  Verify with the colleges that your application is complete

Other things to remember…  Make sure your resume is up-to-date in Naviance.  Touch base with the individuals that will be writing your letters of recommendation  Provide them with a list of schools along with deadlines for the schools you plan on applying  Provide any document they must fill out for a particular school (ie: Teacher Evaluation form)  Provide stamped envelopes addressed to the school’s admission office  Be sure to follow the procedure your teacher outlines for you – especially if you teacher is using Naviance.
