HOW COMMON ARE STD’S? 20 million Approximately new cases every single year! Young people aged 15-24 account for nearly half of new STD’s each year. 1 in 4 sexually active teenager has an STD.

Now we have 25-30 major STD’s! Where did STD’s come from? Only major STD’s before the 1960’s. Now we have 25-30 major STD’s! When a body receives too many unfamiliar germs, a disease can be created.

A 23 year old female visited her doctor with abdominal pain a few weeks after having sex with her new boyfriend. Right fallopian tube should be the size of an earthworm. The outer end is blocked, causing fluid to accumulate and enlarge the tube. After aggressive medical therapy, the right tube and ovary had to be removed. She was told she will probably be unable to conceive.

A female in her mid 20’s was unable to get pregnant because of a blocked fallopian tube due to PID when she was 18. The blue dye was inserted into the tube and has collected at the tip and cannot escape. Therefore neither the egg or a sperm could pass through this tube.

YOUR FUTURE FAMILY Even though there are no immediate signs or symptoms, STD’s can damage your body including the reproduction system. Each year untreated STD’s take away at least 24,000 women’s chance to have her own children later in life. Chlamydia, syphilis & gonorrhea can infect the baby of a woman during pregnancy causing complications to the baby.
