Class Expectations The student is expected to: Be on time to class and seated with all classroom materials when the bell rings. Raise your hand and wait to be acknowledged if you have a question. Be courteous and respectful to the teacher, as well as your peers. Work diligently on assignments when you are given class time to complete them.

Classroom Norms No foul language No cell phones/ electronic devices The teacher will dismiss you when the bell rings…not the bell. Absolutely no CHEATING will be tolerated You are not allowed to work on homework for other classes.

Entering the classroom Please enter quietly. Grab a calculator, put your phone in your assigned pocket, and have your materials ready. Be seated at your desk by the time the bell rings. The bathroom / water should be taken care of between classes. You will be allowed to use the bathroom / water when the teacher has given you permission. Using the Bathroom/ water

When you are tardy Enter quietly, grab your calculator, and place your phone in the assigned pocket. Have a seat and take out your materials. If you are late and do not have a pass, you will not be allowed to use the bathroom or drink water for the period.

Exiting the room You are responsible for working up until the teacher has given you permission to put up your materials. The bell does not dismiss you . . . the teacher does. I will dismiss you by rows. Make sure that your desk is cleared of any materials and trash on or around it. All calculators must be returned before the bell rings (NO ONE WILL LEAVE UNTIL ALL CALCULATORS ARE RETURNED).

When you are absent If you are absent, it is your responsibility to ask the teacher for the work you missed. If the class took notes that day, then it is your responsibility to ask a classmate to copy his/her notes for that day. Tests / Quizzes missed will be made up before school, during lunch, or after school the following day. Afterschool tutorials are also available, and that is a great time to make-up work with the help of a math teacher.

LATE WORK POLICY All assignments pertaining to a section must be turned in before the next section begins, unless otherwise specified. An assignment loses 5 points for every day that it is passed the due date.

Test/quiz Procedures All cell phones will be picked up on the day of tests/quizzes (if you do not turn in your phone you will not take your test/quiz and will receive a ZERO). If you fail a quiz, you can retake the quiz during tutorials(the highest grade you can receive is a 70). Six-weeks exams can only be taken once. If you are caught cheating, you will receive a ZERO (the quiz/test cannot be retaken).
