1 Welcome to 7th Grade Math with Ms. Wirth

2 Be respectful of yourself, others, and of school property! Always use good manners.

3 Come to class prepared! ​​The following supplies are required:
​​*A inch 3 ring binder to store handouts, you will need to bring it to class everyday! ​​*A notebook for Do Now’s, notes, and classwork. ​​*Several pens, pencils & erasers. (Blue or Black ink only.) *Hand held sharpener to use at your seat. ​​*Your homework assignment! ​ *Your TMS Planner.

4 Raise your hand: when asking a question, sharing information, and participating in class.

5 Stay in your seat: No Wandering!
Stay focused and do not disturb others.

6 Rituals and Routines!

7 At the start of every class–. 1. Enter the room quietly
At the start of every class– Enter the room quietly. Move directly to your seat Put all math supplies on your desk. Place all other materials under the desk Read the Agenda on the white board. Get started with the Do Now right away Check the homework board and copy the assignment in your planner Wait for any instructions before starting station work.

8 Participation during class is part of your classwork grade- remember to raise your hand!

9 Bathroom Time- During independent work time only- not during the Do Now or the mini lesson. Record the time in the calendar box in your agenda, I will initial your agenda when it is ready. Please take a pass before you leave the room.

10 Turning in papers- All papers, including quizzes and test papers are turned in to the section bins in the back of the room. Homework is always checked, but usually not collected.

11 End of class – Please remain in your seat until you are dismissed by your teacher. Keep your math work on your desk and don't pack up early! Push in your chair as you leave.

12 If you are absent- It is your responsibility to make up work or attend a help session.
Check the absent bins on the window ledge, or the homework board, for missed assignments.

13 If you have missed a test or quiz – Take a working lunch, meet at 7:15 before school, or at 2:15 after school to make it up. Most quizzes are given on Fridays.

14 Any quiz can be retaken if you score a low grade
Any quiz can be retaken if you score a low grade! The average of the two quiz grades will be used for the final score. There are no retakes for Unit Tests! Extra Math Help is available before or after school if arranged ahead of time. Just ask!
