1 Texas History Pre-AP Classroom Procedures and Expectations

2 Entering Class Get to class before the bell rings!!
Get your textbook, Check to see if we need I.D. spirals for the day. Sit down, copy the agenda from the assignment board in your planner Have any homework due that day ready to turn in.

3 Tardiness If you get to the classroom after the tardy bell begins to ring, you are tardy. Quietly report to the Tardy Sweep Supervisor and get your tardy Quietly return to class, get your book and sit down and join the class without disturbing

4 Passing papers in/out Pass homework towards the front of the classroom side to side. Quietly pass it to the person at the front of classroom in your row. The person at the front of the classroom checks to ensure all names are on the papers and stacks them facing the same direction Remain Quiet and wait for instructions

5 Binder Set Up Keep Class Notes Spiral leaf paper at the front of your binder Keep loose leaf paper behind spiral 3 Dividers Keepers Current Unit Previous Units Keep all work for the current unit of study in the current unit section. After the summative, move the previous unit tab in front of it.

6 Using Class Supplies Walk quietly to the supply area, use the supplies and return quietly to your desk Do not use the supplies during direct instruction If you need to use a tissue, you may do so at any time, please be considerate of others and do so as quickly and quietly as possible

7 Make Up Work If you are absent, check for make up work on the class webpage When you return to school, the work will be in the green Make Up work boxes. As you enter class pick up the notes and assignments for the days you were absent Return make up in a timely manner** Timely Manner = 1 day for each Day you were absent

8 Grading Make Up/Late Work
If the class has already graded an activity you turn in, you are expected to attend the next tutoring session to grade that assignment.

9 Restroom/Locker Pass If you need to use the restroom, wait until after the instructional time unless it is an emergency Raise your hand and wait quietly Once you have permission, get your Hall Checkout Pass Initialed Fill out the orange hall pass and go quietly Go and come back as quickly as possible You have (4) Restroom Passes for this semester. The incentive is to not use them, for they can be bonus points on the end-of-the-semester final exam.

10 Slow Passes If you are given a slow pass by the nurse due to injury, you must show it to a teacher when you arrive in class. If you have a slow pass, you are expected to be in class and out of the hallway during the passing period. If you do not arrive to class early, you will not be allowed to leave class early.

11 Leaving Class No one will leave the room until you are dismissed by a teacher, not the bell. You will not be dismissed until all books are put back on the cart, and everyone is in their seat If you are tardy to your next class, it is your responsibility unless you are given a note from this class.
