At the beginning of class: arrive before the tardy bell rings complete the bell-work activity Please have all class materials on your desk for the day’s lesson You have until the music stops to finish your bellwork (l’apero) During instruction: Throw garbage in the trashcan at the beginning or end of class Do not get up to throw away trash during class If we move desks during class, please return your desk to its proper place before leaving. You should sharpen pencils BEFORE the tardy bell rings Do not get out of your seat for any reason, unless instructed to do so. Class procedures

*Tardy policy You are tardy if you are not inside the classroom when the tardy bell rings. If you are tardy, report to the attendance office for a tardy slip. If you come to class, put your books down, and then leave the classroom for any reason, you are still tardy if you do not return to the room before the tardy bell rings. *Leaving the room No one is allowed to leave the room without my permission or within the first 10 minutes or last 10 minutes of class. Only one student will be allowed to leave the room at a time. The student must have the hall pass with him/her at all times once permission has been granted to leave the room. If a student abuses the privilege of leaving the room by misbehaving while he/she is out of the room, going somewhere other than where he/she stated he/she was going, or taking too long for the requested task, he/she will not be allowed to leave the room in the future. Class procedures

*Returning after an absence Give me your absence form at the beginning of class Check for class work, notes, quizzes, homework, or projects assigned during the absence. You can also check online for lesson plans and powerpoints of the class you missed IT IS THE STUDENT’S RESPONSIBILITY to get missing assignments and complete them within the specified time frame Turn in any assignments that were due on the day(s) of the absence.
