1 Classroom Procedures and Expectations

2 Arriving to Class Bring all your necessary materials!
Enter the class quietly. Go directly to your assigned seat unless you need to sharpen pencil Begin bell work There should be no talking, and no movement once you have sat in your seat

3 Tardies If you enter classroom after the late bell, you are TARDY!
1st Tardy—Warning 2nd Tardy—Parental contact 3rd Tardy—Office Referral Tardies are reset every 9 weeks

4 Absences If you enter classroom more than ten minutes late, you will be marked as ABSENT You will not be able to make up missed quizzes if you have an Unexcused Absence 5 absences—Referral to office 10 absences—must bring doctor’s note 15 absences—juvenile court

5 Food and Drink No food, drink, or gum is to be consumed in class.
Drink water between classes.

6 Restrooms You may use the restroom four times a month.
You must have teacher sign a note or your agenda book. Provide date, classroom period, and reason for leaving class.

7 Expectations During Instruction
Please give the teacher your full attention. Do not talk while the teacher is talking. Ask permission to speak by raising your hand--Keep questions focused on the material. When I raise my hand, you must stop talking, face me, and raise your hand until everyone in the classroom has stopped talking.

8 Working in Class If you don’t understand something, ask other students, then teacher. No side-bar conversations during team activities. When talking with others, keep it no louder than a whisper. Use your time wisely!

9 When you finish work early
Work on unfinished assignments Review vocabulary Make up quizzes, bell work (for excused absences only) Stay in your seat and working quietly

10 End of Class Dismissal You can begin to put away your materials two minutes before the end of class, or when instructed to by your teacher. Leave your area clean! Take your garbage to trash can on your way out.

11 Cheating During quizzes and tests, all bags, purses and materials must be off your desk. If you cheat, or appear to be cheating (looking on your phone, a notebook, in your bag etc), you will receive a ‘0’ on your test and will be referred to the office.

12 Behavior Discipline Procedures
1st Offense - Verbal Warning 2nd Offense – Student Conference 3rd Offense - Call to Parents 4th Offense - Office Referral
