Ms Duggar’s Classroom Contract Guidelines Procedures

Classroom Guidelines

Guideline #1 Be in your assigned seat and working on the assigned bell work when the tardy bell rings.

Guideline #2 Be attentive and participate in classroom discussions.

Guideline #3 Show respect for yourself and those around you by your dress, speech, and positive attitude.

Complete daily homework assignments to the best of your ability. Guideline #4

Homework me if/when you get stuck on a homework problem. Skip the problem(s) but keep working on the rest of the assignment. I will make every effort to contact you via phone, , or text.

There will be NO eating or chewing gum in class. You may have bottled water. Guideline #5

Treat school property with respect; dispose of trash properly. Guideline #6

ALL electronic devices must remain off and in your backpack or you will have the device confiscated and it will be sent to the office. Guideline #7

Electronics Electronics: These include Phones, I-Pads, Tablets etc. No Headphones in Ears. Not even one ear. First time -Warning. Second Time - Confiscation until end of period. Third time - taken up and sent to the office.

Special Guideline This classroom is a “No Whining Zone”. That means that there will be no whining, for ANY reason. Everything that I do is in your best interest, so please…respect the “No Whining Zone” this year.

Not Following Guidelines will result in: 1 st – Warning and documentation 2 nd – Detention – Afterschool 3r d – Action Plan, Parental Contact 4 th – Disciplinary Referral

Severe Clause Any student who uses profanity, fights, damages school property (this includes the property of the teacher and other students), or is disrespectful (as defined by the teacher) will be sent to the office IMMEDIATELY.

Entering the room Please enter quietly Have a seat Take out your materials Review the agenda Begin bell work assignment

When you are tardy Enter quietly Excused: Place excuse in the basket on the bookcase Have a seat and take out your materials

Getting your attention I will: Stand in front of the class Raise my hand Wait for everyone to be quiet Begin speaking

Paper Heading Upper right corner of paper: Name Date Top Line Page number and assignment numbers

Criteria for Credit 1. All work must be completed in PENCIL. 2. ALL WORK must be shown to receive full credit.

Criteria for Credit 3. All work shown in vertical columns, NOT across the page. 4.Answers highlighted or boxed.

After an absence Go to the homework folder Copy the homework Retrieve any handouts

Student Responsibility Sheet Student Responsibility Sheet This is for students who do not have the assigned homework Fill it out Sign and date it Turn it in with the homework papers

Turning in papers One person in each group collects the papers. Make sure everyone has put their name on their paper/ I will come by and collect all stacks

Classroom Discussions PLEASE participate I want to hear what you have to say Make all questions and comments relevant to the current discussion If your question is off the topic, write it down and ask later.

Moving around the room You must ask permission Do not ask during a classroom discussion unless it is an emergency

Class Dismissal I will dismisses you, not the bell Do not start packing up prior to the bell Wait until I finish and officially dismiss you “Have a nice day ”
