About Me This is my 7 th year at Willard Middle School I live on a 23 acre farm in Morrisville with my family and our horses, dogs, and cats. I have 2 ½ Newfoundlands. Rules for all of Mrs. McDowell’s Classes Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings. Bring all necessary books and materials to class. Follow directions the first time they are given. If it isn’t true, kind and necessary—don’t say it in my classroom!

What happens if…. You aren’t in your seat when the bell rings…you are tardy. You are allowed 3 tardies per quarter (NEW POLICY). You don’t follow directions…reduction of grade, loss of privileges, write up on Assertive Discipline Form, other appropriate consequences as needed. You say something that is not true, kind and necessary…warning, action plan, write up, call to parents, other appropriate consequences as needed.

What you need for class: Math : Assigned Text Book (brought to class daily) Calculator Lined paper PENCILS (work completed in pen WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED) Eraser Headphones for Acers (optional) Graph Paper 2” 3-Ring Binder used for Math only. 1 packet of 5 tab dividers. What happens if I don’t have my supplies for class? I am glad you asked! If you need to go to your locker after the bell rings you will receive a TARDY…. COME PREPARED !!!!!

What happens….continued You left your book in your locker, your friends locker, at home, in the car, or your book is the unfortunate victim of alien abduction. You can go get it or borrow one and will receive a TARDY ….

Procedure for Net Books Each of you will be assigned a number. This number will be displayed on the Net Book you will use in class. When you enter the classroom you will 1. Get your binder and put on your assigned table. 2. Put your supplies, books etc on your desk 3. Put your backpack in designated location. 4. Go get your Net Book and sit at your table with your computer 5. Begin your daily bell ringer.

What do I do if I need to… Sharpen my pencil… Please do it before the bell rings, or after I am finished giving instructions.

What do I do if I need to …. Go to the restroom Use the time between classes. To use the restroom during class you must have your agenda. You may not leave class while I am talking, during a quiz or during the first, or last, ten (10) minutes of class.

What if I need to… Go to the nurse, office, another class, library You need to fill out your agenda.
