Maths Homework Homework always relates to the week’s topic or problem areas identified by the teacher. Maths homework is handed out on different days for both classes. If your child is unable to complete the homework over the weekend, please send in a letter to explain why. Otherwise, your child may be kept in at playtime.

Literacy Homework Literacy homework is handed out on different days for both classes. Spelling homework is given out on different days for both classes. The children complete the activity and learn 16 words. ‘High Frequency words’ to be learnt by the end of Year 5.

P.E. PE kit should be clearly named and include : Navy or black shorts (joggers in winter) White T-shirt Black plimsolls/black trainers in winter Long hair MUST be tied up No jewellery (stud earrings will be taped up) No tights!

P.E. cont….. Swimming is on Thursdays and takes place at Northolt pool. We travel by coach. ALL children are expected to attend. Swimming kit must be brought in a separate bag and should include: ‘Speedos’ or tight swimming trunks for boys One-piece swimming costumes for girls Towel Deodorant (only if usually worn) Swimming kits MUST go home on the same day!! All girls and boys MUST wear a swimming cap

PE cont… In school, children will be taught: Autumn Term : Gym/Dance, Rugby/Netball Spring term : Swimming, Cricket/Tennis Summer term : Gym/Dance, Athletics

General issues Attendance is very important. The required national expectation is 95% or above. If time is needed to be taken off for a holiday, request a sheet from the office. If your child is ill, either phone the school on the day to notify them, or send in a letter when your child returns.

General issues Correct uniform must be worn every day. Please ensure that it is all clearly named. Trainers may be brought in for use at break- time, but otherwise black school shoes must be worn. No jewellery will be allowed to be worn in school, except stud earrings & religious jewellery with an explanatory note.
