Selecting a Zero Hour Students must select the Zero Hour Candidate course to be considered for a zero hour class. In most cases students will only be able to attend 7 classes 0 – 6 th hour (7:00 am – 2:16 pm) 1 st – 7 th hour (7:55 am – 3:14 pm) If a student has begun a semester with a 0 schedule they may be allowed to change classes as room permits, but they can only choose from courses offered within the alternate time frame that they began the semester, (0-6th).

Keep two goals in mind while registering: GOAL #1: Take the courses required to earn a Lincoln High School Diploma GOAL #2: Take the courses that will prepare you for the life you want after high school.

Resources Four Year Plan Course of Study Bulletin Infinite Campus Graduation Planner

The Course of Study Bulletin Contains 9-12 grade courses Courses are divided up by subject area. Pages 9-11 include a list of all courses available and the grade level students must be in to take them. Make sure you have taken all of the pre- requisites before you sign up for a class.

Graduation Requirements (page 1) Course requirements are: Health 0.5 credits Physical Education 1.5 credits English4.0 credits Mathematics 3.0 credits Science 2.0 credits * Social Studies 3.0 credits (Financial Literacy 0.5 required) (Civics Literacy 0.5 required) Electives 10.0 credits Total 24.0 credits Mandatory 20 hour community service requirement.

Science (pg. 70) Read descriptions carefully for prerequisites. 2 credits of Science are required to graduate 1 credit of Physical Science Chemistry in the Community is designed for college bound non-science majors. Chemistry is designed for college bound science majors. 1 credit of Life Science Colleges require a minimum of three years of lab based science (IPS, Biology, Physics, Chemistry)

The International Baccalaureate Program

Who can participate? The program is open to juniors and seniors. Juniors may enroll in individual certificates or the full diploma program. Information found on pg.40-49

Youth Apprenticeship (pg. 65) Intensive work-experience program that combines classes and employment. 3 class periods Students earn high school credit, may earn Tech. College credit, and are paid by their employer. Students must apply and interview Students interested should sign up for a full schedule. (Your courses will be adjusted later if you are accepted.)

The Youth Options Program Allows students to take college/ technical college courses that are not offered by LHS. Students earn high school and college credit. Students wishing to attend either UW- Manitowoc or Silver Lake, must have a GPA of 3.4+ or an ACT score of 25. Students wishing to attend a technical college, must have good academic standing attendance. See your School Counselor to obtain forms and instructions. Forms must be completed and returned to your School Counselor by Mar. 1st for 1st semester or Oct. 1 for 2nd semester of next year. Youth options courses are offered at no cost to the student unless you fail a class. Failing students are required to reimburse the district for the cost of the class and the textbooks.
