Compound Sentences Just like an Oreo Cookie, a compound Sentence has two of the same types of shells/cookies with something in the middle that keeps them together. The INDEPENDENT Clauses are the outer cookies, and the FANBOYS are in the yummy middle keeping the clauses together.
