ROLE PROFILE - Draft ROLE TITLE: Duty Manager BU: BSW NZ Function: Hospitality Management Team: Reception Reports To: Service Manager, Sales Direct Reports: Nil Role Purpose: Ensure the efficient management and compliance of Freeman’s Bay office bar. ACCOUNTABILITIES (Tasks & Decisions): RASCI CAPABILITY (Skills, Knowledge & Experience): Create an atmosphere that is conducive with responsible drinking. Maintenance – ensure that the bar area is well maintained and at a high level of cleanliness and presentation. Leadership – monitor bar attendees drinking habits and address intoxication Daily operations – ensure bar is fully stocked, food preparation for bar opening Budget – purchasing responsibility for catering supplies Diary management – maintain the bar bookings diary Functions/Events – assist with the organisation/running of events held in the bar area Host responsibility – Ensuring the Freeman’s Bay bar is always a responsible venue and complies with best practice hot responsibilities Systemisation – ensuring all systems are followed and new systems are created where required Improvement - Creating and maintaining a culture of constant improvement Ad hoc duties as required As a Team member at Lion Everyone safe every day, by behaving safely at all times and reporting hazards, near misses and incidents Live the Lion values and behaviours Actively participate in the Lion Achievement Cycle by setting and achieving goals, developing yourself and others, and having quality conversations. R Skills: A demonstrated passion for delivering outstanding service Strong communication skills Good organisation A current General Managers Certificate Experience in the hospitality field A desire for constant improvement Knowledge: High level of understanding of bar operations Understanding of the Sale & Supply of Alcohol Act A passion for food and beverage Experience: Experience in hospitality (pub, café or restaurant management) Experience in managing a hospitality venue Experience in ensuring legislative compliance CONTEXT / SCOPE: KEY STAKEHOLDERS: Responsible for the Hospitality activity during the Freeman’s Bay bar employee open times Visitors, including employees to the Freeman’s Bay Bar Reception team External Suppliers The way that we achieve sustainable results is through focusing on our results and behaviours (BxR)
