No Role in context of Future Leaders Program This role is part of the Future Leaders Program, which aims to attract and develop individuals external to BP with diverse experiences and leadership capability to bolster the Downstream distinctive capability leadership pipelines. The program consists of 2x24 months rotations within a distinctive capability area, and will include targeted leadership development and capability building. This role is the first of two rotations in the Sales , Marketing and Retail Distinctive Capability. Role Purpose The role is accountable for the development of Retail partnership options. Team membership The Business Development Manager is a member of the BD Team, China Retail, AsPac Fuels Team. The team has accountability for the strategic growth of commercial partnerships . Specific Role Description Lead the independent market survey and competitors analysis in the targeted geographies Lead the supply & distribution study in the targeted geographies Lead the NTI study and provide insights to support commercial development Coordinate project actions and provide support to fulfil the CVP process including drafting AtN, developing support pack, modelling, preparing project review materials and etc. Leadership skills and technical competencies (aligned to a Distinctive capability) Leadership Expectations and behaviours Maximizing value: Take ownership to create enduring value through identification and delivery of opportunities. Technical competencies Strong business sense with hands-on knowledge of Retail industry preferred Familiar with market survey methodologies and practice, Strong analytical and planning abilities, good project management skill Familiar with M&A practice and CVP process Good understanding of DCF model and other economic valuation methodologies Good basic financial knowledge Strong communication, coordination and networking skills, able to work within multi-function teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Chinese and English Experience /Education Post graduate degree Undergraduate degree in Business , Economics or Commerce. Experience with business development or commercial exposure Essential work experience: 5+ year works experience aligned to the Sales , Marketing and Retail Distinctive Capability Aspiration to develop into a specialist future leader within this distinctive capability:
