WHAT WAS IN PLACE TILL MARCH 2017?

CLASSES I TO IX Academic year will have 2 terms – FIRST TERM : April to September 2016 SECOND TERM: October to March 2017

ASSESSMENT FOR AN ACADEMIC YEAR Term I – FA1 and FA2 SA1 Term II - FA3 and FA4 SA2 FINAL Assessment- FA1+FA2+FA3+FA4 10 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 40% SA1+ SA2 30 + 30 = 60% TOTAL = 100%

WHAT ARE THE NEW INITIATIVES?

1. NO LONGER WE WILL HAVE SEMESTER PATTERN

2. FORMATIVE AND SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS HAVE GONE.

3. NO UPSCALING OF GRADES IN ANY SUBJECTS BASED ON CCA PERFORMANCE.

TERM END EXAMINATIONS WILL BE FOR 80 MARKS SCHOLASTIC AREAS TERM END EXAMINATIONS WILL BE FOR 80 MARKS

CO-SCHOLASTIC AREAS FOR THE HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE STUDENT, CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS BE CARRIED OUT IN CBSE SCHOOLS BY THE TEACHERS AND WILL BE GRADED TERM-WISE ON A 3 POINT GRADING SCALE (A – OUTSTANDING, B – VERY GOOD AND C – FAIR) . THE ASPECT OF REGULARITY, SINCERE PARTICIPATION, OUTPUT AND THE TEAMWORK BE THE GENERIC CRITERIA FOR GRADING IN THE FOLLOWING ACTIVITIES: WORK EDUCATION ART EDUCATION (VISUAL & PERFORMING) HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION

DISCIPLINE THE STUDENTS WILL ALSO BE ASSESSED FOR THE DISCIPLINE WHICH WILL BE BASED ON THE FACTORS LIKE ATTENDANCE, SINCERITY, BEHAVIOUR, VALUES, TIDINESS, RESPECTFULNESS FOR RULES AND REGULATIONS, ATTITUDE TOWARDS SOCIETY, NATION AND OTHERS. GRADING ON DISCIPLINE WILL BE DONE TERM-WISE ON A 3 POINT GRADING SCALE (A – OUTSTANDING, B – VERY GOOD & C – FAIR)
