Academic Pattern in the middle school………. to be based on the new system of Assessment & Examination introduced by CBSE Uniform System of Assessment and Examination for Classes VI –X. Emphasis on Pen Paper Assessment. Shift to more theoretical learning. *

4 CLASSES VI- VIII An academic year will have 2 terms - SECOND TERM
FIRST TERM April to September SECOND TERM October to March *

Co-Scholastic areas PART 1-Scholastic => Periodic tests 1 => Mid term examinations => Periodic tests 2 => End term examinations *

7 TERM –I Periodic I comprising of two weekly tests held in the months of April to August; and Subject enrichment activities. Mid Term Examination which will be held in September 2017 TERM – II Periodic II comprising of two weekly tests held in the months of November to January; and End Term Examination will be held in March 2018 *

8 Subject Enrichment Activities
These are subject-specific activities aimed at enhancing the understanding and skills of the students. These activities are to be carried out throughout the term, however, they should be evaluated at the term-end. Languages: Aimed at equipping the learners to develop effective listening and speaking skills. Mathematics & Science: Practical work and Laboratory activities. Social Science: Map or the project work

Performance will be assessed using marks and grades. Grades on a 9 point scale will be awarded for the Scholastic Areas. MARKS GRADE 91— A1 81— A2 71— B1 61— B2 51— C1 41— C2 33— D 32 & below E Qualifying grade *

15 Co-Scholastic Activities
For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out in CBSE affiliated schools by the teachers and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale A=Outstanding B=Very Good C=Fair *

The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and Teamwork will be the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities Work Experience Physical Education Art Pursuit (a)Work Education - Work Education refers to skill-based activities. (b) Art Education -Visual & Performing Art (c) Health and Physical Education (Sports/Yoga etc.) *

17 Discipline Attitudes & Values Towards Teachers Towards Peers
The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others. Attitudes & Values Towards Teachers Towards Peers Towards School Programmes Towards Environment Grading on Discipline will be done term-wise on a 3-point grading scale (A=Outstanding, B=Very Good and C=Fair) *

18 A printed performance profile will be given twice in a year
After the end of Term –I in the month of Oct (PT I + Mid Term) After the end of Term-II in March ( PT II + End Term) Parents will be able to access the result of their ward by logging in to Campus Care. No printed report card will be given after the end of Periodic –I and Periodic - II. However there will be PTM to discuss your ward’s progress in school after both Weekly test cycles. *
