3 Key Areas Restoring of Class X Board Examination w.e.f. 2017-18
System of Assessment for Class IX brought by CBSE w.e.f Registration of Class IX students with CBSE Exemptions/Concessions being extended to Differently Abled Candidates

4 The same structure will be followed for Class IX
Restoring of Class X Board examination with effect from the Academic Year The dual scheme of examination for Class X known as Scheme-I and Scheme-II shall stand discontinued for the students appearing in Class-X from the Academic Year and onwards. The examination for Academic Year and onwards would be conducted as per the remodeled assessment structure . The same structure will be followed for Class IX  Circular No.: Acad-05/2017 Date: 31/01/2017

5 Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f 2017-18
Scholastic Area Annual Examination -80 Marks 2. Internal Assessment -20 Marks

6 Annual Examination -80 Marks
Scholastic Area Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f   Annual Examination -80 Marks School will conduct Class-IX Annual Examination for 80 marks (3 hours duration) in each subject covering 100% syllabus. Marks and Grades both will be awarded for individual subjects. 8-point grading will be followed. Student has to secure 33% marks out of 80 marks in each subject.

7 Internal Assessment -20 Marks
Scholastic Area Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f   Internal Assessment -20 Marks Periodic Test (10 Marks) Periodic written Test, restricted to three in each subject in an Academic Year. Average of the best two tests to be taken for final marks submission. Notebook Submission (5 Marks) This will cover: Regularity Assignment Completion Neatness & upkeep of notebook Subject Enrichment Activity (5 Marks) Language 1- Speaking and listening skills Language 2- Speaking and listening skills Science- Practical Lab work Mathematics-Maths Lab Practical Social Science-Map Work and Project Work

8 Internal Assessment -20 Marks
Scholastic Area Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f   Internal Assessment -20 Marks Periodic Test (10 Marks) The school will conduct three periodic written tests in the entire academic year. For the purpose of gradient learning, three tests will be held as one being the mid-term test and other the two being pre mid and post mid-term with portion of syllabus cumulatively covered. The school will take the average of the best two tests for final marks submission.

Aspects to be observed Regularity Punctuality Neatness and notebook upkeep.

Scholastic Area Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f   Internal Assessment -20 Marks Subject Enrichment Activity (5 Marks) These are subject specific application activities aimed at enrichment of the understanding and skill development. For Languages: Activities conducted for subject enrichment in languages will aim at equipping the learner to develop effective speaking and listening skills. For Mathematics: The listed laboratory activities and projects as given in the prescribed publication of CBSE/NCERT will be followed. For Science: The listed practical works / activities will be carried out as prescribed by the CBSE in the curriculum. For Social Science: Map and project work will be undertaken as prescribed by the CBSE in the curriculum.

17 Remodeled Assessment Structure for Class IX w.e.f 2017-18  
Documentation Records pertaining to the internal assessment of the students done by the schools will be maintained for a period of three months from the date of declaration of result for verification at the discretion of the Board. Sub judiced cases, if any or those involving RTI/ Grievances will however be retained beyond three months.

18 Registration of Class IX students with CBSE
The students must be registered with the board in Class IX in order to appear for Class X exams in the next year The registration happens in August/September Requirements Pass port size photo—Black & White---Name of the student and the date on which the photo is taken must be mentioned on the photo Registration fee ( Rs 100, but exact amount will be informed after the receipt of circular from CBSE) Cast certificate, if eligible, in the student’s name

19 Process of Registration
Registration of Class IX students with CBSE Process of Registration School supplies a form for registration (First week of August) The details need to be filled in by the parent School enters the data Parents will be called for checking (First week of September) Due care must be taken as the same details will appear in class X mark sheet

20 Differently Abled Students
Spastic Visually impaired Physically Handicapped Dyslexic Autistic Students with disabilities as defined in PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT 1995

21 Differently Abled Students
Medical Certificate The medical certificate must be issued by i) Disability Certificate(s) issued by Government hospitals controlled by either the Central or State Governments; ii) Disability Certificate(s) issued by Recognized institutes of national level viz National Association for the Blind, Spastic Society of India etc; and iii) Disability Certificate(s) issued by Non-governmental Organizations/practitioners registered with Rehabilitation Council of India/Central Government/State Government of the Respective State.
