This workshop aims to offer you…. An opportunity to hear about the ITQ Learning and Skills – a new qualification designed specifically for teaching staff The chance to experience some of the activities relating to holistic assessment of this qualification Di Dawson E-Guides National Event 2009

Background to the ITQ L & S project The ITQ for Learning and Skills project is a joint initiative between NIACE, e-skills UK and Becta Aim to extend the E-Guides programme, raise the capacity to assess and verify the ITQ qualification and promote best practice in the delivery of ITQ. Timeline of development In 2007, e-skills UK and the 5 English Awarding Bodies prepare Units within QCF Spring 2008: Trials in 3 regions Autumn 2008: e-skills UK review the National Occupational Standards Summer 2009: Qualifications Credit Framework launch Di Dawson E-Guides National Event 2009

Di Dawson E-Guides National Event 2009 NIACE’s projects May 2008 NIACE launches project with 13 organisations and 36 participating practitioners. Aim to deliver Level 2 Certificate in Using IT (ITQ Learning and Skills) and to support the Centres in developing additional assessors and verifiers who will become familiar with qualification with their own staff.
