your dreams, your future, our challenge Curriculum Offer – Year 12 Students will typically study for 3 qualifications, either at A level or BTEC. Some students will study a combination of the two A LEVEL New specifications for all subject are now LINEAR – This means that the final examinations are take at the end of the two year course. There no longer exists an AS / A2 split , as in previous years Much greater focus on exam content and preparation – less focus on coursework BTECs will have a greater focus on coursework and continuous assessment. They are equivalent qualifications. Double BTECs require double the teaching time and workload of single BTECs. IFS Diploma – online examinations Year 12. Must pass to progress to Year 13.
